Hello
I'm Matt DeBoer, founder of East Maple Media! I fell in love with my camera in 2012 when I was studying in Hangzhou, China and wanted to communicate how different things were to my friends and family - which I learned I could do with my camera.
In January of 2025 I decided to turn my longtime hobbies of photography and videography into this business.

My Story
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in Mechanical Engineering and minored in Entrepreneurship. After graduating I worked at a SF-based prop-tech startup for 8.5 years, working in Finance, Sales, Product Management and Customer Success. All of these experiences have given me great perspective on how I want to build East Maple Media and serve our clients.

Outside of growing this business I love following Wisconsin sports, playing basketball, and exploring everything NYC has to offer.
